Poppy
Poppy is a mix of Chow and Pit Bull, we think. She is very independent, smart, funny and afraid of her own shadow. Fireworks send her into hysterics. She has grown more affectionate now that she knows we are her real family. We adopted her through PAAWS.
Poppy has learned many tricks. Sometimes we think she is a human dressed as a dog.

Poppy the Patriot
Poppy is a rescue from PAAWS. She had been fostered in many homes and never adopted because she was very head strong and independent. She is just our style. She is much more affectionate now that she knows she is HOME.

Lester and Sophie
Lester is probably pure BLab, and about 4YO in this pic. Sophie was about 1YO in the pic, and hmmmm, YLab---definitely. Basenji? Shepherd? Pit? Who knows, who cares. She beat up on Lester pretty good when we first got her, but 2 years later they are friends fast and true! In this picture they just got done swimming in their baby pool, and Sophie just came out from rolling in the dirt under the deck. Both dogs were rescues, and now are spoiled rotten.

Vicky
I got Vicky from a kennel when she was a small puppy, I took her to the vet immediately for a check up. The vet told me I should turn around and take her right back because she had a very serious Kennel Cough. I refused to give up on her and within weeks of hard work Vicky had gained the weight she needed. I took her back to the vet and he said he was amazed she lived and that I had saved her life. She is now all grown up and has developed an obsession with tennis balls!
